OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An Allendale Township man faces charges, accused of holding his ex-girlfriend hostage in his apartment.
Deputies say 22-year-old Jonathon Wilson threatened to hurt himself after going through a break-up.
His ex-girlfriend told deputies she went to his apartment Saturday afternoon because she was worried about him, and Wilson pulled a gun on her. According to deputies, Wilson held the woman at gunpoint for about an hour before he became distracted and she was able to escape and call police. Deputies say they removed several weapons from Wilson's apartment.
A judge arraigned Wilson Monday on an unlawful imprisonment charge. He's being held in the Ottawa County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
