OTSEGO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's a digital world we live in--one that's constantly evolving--and with smartphones, tablets, and social media, the world wide web is at our fingertips.
That's why the Otsego Public School district held a digital parenting night.
Experts were on hand to help parents keep up with the new technologies their teens are using.
"It's really, really important to keep the channels of communication open because when really big things happen, if you have good communication on the little things, then they'll come to you with the big things as well," said Library Media Specialist Beverley Rannow.
Experts also talked about ways their teens could run into trouble on the Internet, or on their smartphones.
