Police investigate Holland bank robbery

HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police are investigating a bank robbery in Holland Township at this hour, after a suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
It happened Tuesday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m. at the Macatawa Bank on Butternut Drive.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department, the suspect approached the teller with a handgun and left on foot with the money.
He reportedly headed toward the Leisure Estates mobile home park on Butternut.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, 5'7" to 5'10" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black scarf over his face, a gray Chicago Bulls cap with a red bill, and aviator sunglasses with gray rims.
He was wearing a gray hoodie over a white shirt. He had baggy faded jeans with a design on the back pocket, and had a black backpack.
Witnesses say they saw someone matching the suspect's description get into a large, white SUV driven by someone else.
The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office detective unit.
There were no shots fired and no injuries.
West Ottawa Public School buses were held up for a short time so that deputies and detectives could sweep through the trailer park.
