A WIND ADVISORY continues in effect for only two counties in West Michigan: Calhoun and Eaton. Wind gusts have generally not reached Advisory criteria, hence the change from earlier today when most of West Michigan was affected. Even so, winds will remain gusty this evening, with gusts to 35 mph possible.

HOLLAND, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Her backyard and doorstep covered with snow, shovels sinking into it, and a mailbox nearly overflowing, it's clear Emelene Joy VanDyke hasn't been home in a while.

The 36-year-old Holland woman was last seen and heard from on February 14th after police say she bought a new car from a local dealership, and took a significant amount of cash out of the bank. We're told that following weekend, she left for a retreat in the Traverse City area.

She had taken time off work but was due back February 19th. When she didn't show, her employer contacted her ex-husband, who has custody of her three kids. He reported her missing.

"It definitely was a surprise for all of us," said neighbor Evan Lancaster.

Lancaster says VanDyke never suggested she wanted to leave for an extended period of time.

"She was a nice lady, but she kind of kept to herself and did her own thing," he said.

But Lancaster did notice her schedule change leading up to her disappearance.

"She wasn't here as much. She'd come home later from work, and it'd be a little bit later during the day, and we wouldn't see her as much, and then all of a sudden, we didn't see her anymore," he said.

Police are concerned about VanDyke's well-being because her cell phone and debit card haven't been used since February 14, the day she bought the car. Police describe it as a gray, four-door 2013 Hyundai Accent with Michigan license plate CGE8162.
