School Board gives Kzoo superintendent glowing review

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Board of Kalamazoo Public Schools is giving Superintendent Dr. Michael Rice a glowing review.
The board released an endorsement of Dr. Rice at its meeting Thursday night.
It says in part, "urban school superintendents hold one of the most important and challenging jobs in the education system. Dr. Rice meets this challenge with unprecedented success."
The board did not make any decisions regarding Dr. Rice's salary Thursday night.
According to a database compiled by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Rice is the highest paid superintendent in the state, with total compensation of nearly $360,000 per year.
