LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A section of the Battle Creek water system has been shut down for improvements.

During that time, the city is issuing a boil water advisory.

The area affected includes Broadway Boulevard between Taylor Avenue and Morgan Avenue.

The city says it's working to restore pressure as soon as possible.
