LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The State of Michigan has launched a new website to educate athletes, their parents, and coaches about the symptoms and consequences of concussions.
This summer, a new law goes into effect, requiring coaches and team volunteers to go through a concussion awareness training program.
Athletes who could have a concussion must be removed from the game or event, and cannot return until they receive clearance from a doctor.
The new website, launched Wednesday, features resources and training courses from the centers for disease control.
