FROST ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 AM

The National Weather Service maintains a FROST ADVISORY in Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties until 9 AM.  Early morning temperatures are already at or slightly above the freezing mark, which encourages frost.  It's reasonable for temperatures to fall through the 7 AM hour, and a light freeze is also possible.  Hopefully, plants and flowers were covered last night or brought inside for protection.

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A 68-year-old woman from Augusta has died after striking a deer Friday night.

Police say the woman was heading east on M-89 in Ross Township when she struck a deer around 7:45 pm. That deer came up through the windshield of the vehicle, killing her.

Police say the woman was alone in the car at the time. Her name is being withheld until family members are notified. Woman killed after deer comes through windshield
