Man dies in Alcatraz Triathlon

SAN FRANCISCO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – There is some sad news out of San Francisco Monday morning.
Officials say a Texas man died in the frigid waters of the San Francisco Bay just moments after the start of the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon.
Race organizers believe the man died of a heart attack.
They say he was pulled from the water and paramedics performed CPR, but they could not revive him.
