UM QB Gardner granted medical hardship redshirt

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Big news for U-of-M football fans--quarterback Devin Gardner has been granted a medical hardship for the 2010 season, meaning he will have two more years of eligibility.
Gardner appeared in 3 games as a freshman, but missed the remainder of the year with a back injury.
The junior from Inkster showed great promise after stepping in for an injured Denard Robinson last season.
