LOS ANGELES (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's down to final arguments in the trial that will decide the fate of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Lawyers for Donald Sterling plan to argue Shelly Sterling had no right to make a deal even though Donald had given her written authority to pursue a sale.

Shelly had made a deal with former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2-billion.

Lawyers also say Shelly tricked Donald into taking mental exams that showed he had signs of the onset of Alzheimer's disease.

That conclusion helped remove Donald from the Sterling family trust, allowing Shelly to move forward with the sale.
