NFL going high-tech with aerial images for coaches and players story image

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The National Football League is going hi-tech. Players and coaches will now be able to look at color aerial photos of previous plays on tablets.

In the past, those images were transmitted to a printer on the sidelines in black and white.

This new technology will allow coaches to zoom in.

The tablets are designed to withstand extreme heat, cold and rain during the games.

Up until now only medical staff could carry digital devices on the sideline.

The tablets will only be used for photos.

There will be no internet access or replays of previous plays.
