ALLEN PARK, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Now that the San Diego Chargers are out of the playoffs, following a 24-17 loss to Denver in Sunday's Divisional Round game, look for the Lions head coaching search to progress rapidly.

Chargers Offensive Coordinator Ken Whisenhunt is thought to be the front-runner.

Whisenhunt has also interviewed with Tennesee and Cleveland, however, so no matter where he lands, the dominoes are expected to fall in place behind him.

ESPN reported early Monday that a decision could be made within 48 hours.

If not Whisenhunt, former Titans coach Mike Munchak could be just the disciplinarian the team needs.
