Herron flies south
Comments 0 | Recommend 0After being released by the Green Bay Packers during training camp, Mattawan native Noah Herron patiently waited for an opportunity to return to the NFL. That opportunity came in the form of an ankle injury to Tampa Bay Buccaneer Earnest Graham. Herron, a fourth-year running back out of Northwestern, signed with the Bucs and will back up Warrick Dunn and Carnell Williams.
He has played in 23 careers game with Green Bay and Pittsburgh, rushing for 273 yards and scoring five touchdowns--three rushing and two receiving. Herron will be in uniform Sunday at Ford Field when Tampa Bay visits the 0-10 Detroit Lions.
