The Search For The Next Coach
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ANN ARBOR (AP) - Rutgers football coach Greg Schiano has told Michigan to take his name off the list.
Schiano says he was contacted earlier this week about the Michigan coaching job.
It marks the second time in less than a week that Michigan has been rebuffed in its efforts to find a successor to Lloyd Carr. Les Miles decided to remain at LSU last Saturday.
Michigan's list of potential candidates still includes California's Jeff Tedford, Missouri's Gary Pinkel, North Carolina State's Tom O'Brien and Ball State's Brady Hoke.
Candidates already in Ann Arbor include Michigan offensive coordinator Mike DeBord and Wolverines defensive coordinator Ron English.
