Michigan not good enough to overcome 6 turnovers

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez has apologized to reporters for making them wait a little longer than usual after the Wolverines' weekend game.

 

He says he wanted to shower so eh could make a quick getaway after yesterday's 35-17 loss in South Bend, Indiana.

 

The first-year Michigan coach calls the game a nightmare for his team.

 

The loss drops the Wolverines to 1-2, while the Irish improve to 2-0.

 

Michigan turned the ball over six times, leading to 21 points by Notre Dame.

 

The four fumbles were the most by a Wolverines team in 13 years.
