ANN ARBOR (AP) - Michigan's women's basketball team overcame a slow start and two-point halftime deficit to beat visiting Iowa 63-46 today.
Krista Phillips scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Wolverines, who held Iowa to 21 percent shooting in the second half.
Michigan shot 58 percent from the field in the second half, while keeping Iowa to 8-38.
Janelle Cooper had 13 points and five rebounds for the Wolverines, while Krista Clement added 12 points and six rebounds.
Krista VandeVenter had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Hawkeyes.
