Mikael Samuelsson had a goal and three assists for Detroit (3-1-0). Sidney Crosby had two assists for Pittsburgh (1-1-2).

The matchup completed a home-and-home series on consecutive nights between teams that won't play in the regular season. The Red Wings won 1-0 in overtime Friday night in Detroit.

Detroit's lineup included stars like goalie Dominik Hasek and defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom, but many of the projected regulars stayed home.

The Red Wings take today off, then play five exhibitions over the next six days.
