Stars 3 Red Wings 1 - Red Wings lead series 3-1
Comments 0 | Recommend 0DALLAS (AP) - Loui Eriksson's goal about 12 minutes after a Detroit goal was disallowed kept the Dallas Stars alive in their Western Conference final by beating the Red Wings 3-1.
Third-period goals from Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow iced it for Dallas, which trails 3-1 in the series.
The Red Wings ended a nine-game winning streak, but what frustrated the team most was the way the game turned in the second period.
Pavel Datsyuk (dat-SOOK') put the puck past Marty Turco on a power-play shot from the right circle midway 7:34 into the period, but on-ice officials immediately called it off.
They ruled Tomas Holmstrom interfered with Turco from inside the crease.
Game 5 is Saturday in Detroit.
