Survey: Older workers happier with their jobs

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Do you hate your job? We've got  tip for you: Stick it out.

A bi-annual survey by the Associated Press and the Norc Center for Public Affairs Research shows that 90-percent of workers who are 50 years or older are 'very' or 'somewhat' satisfied with their jobs.

Researchers looked at 40 years of these surveys and they show that satisfaction rises from about 80-percent in workers younger than 30 to 90-percent for those 65 and older.

Researchers say the findings imply that as you get older you gravitate, excel and find your ideal career.

You also have more expertise and may be getting greater respect from colleagues.
