Missing Allegan Co. girl found in Missouri
CRESTWOOD, Mo. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A missing 13-year-old girl from Hamilton has been found, according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff also states that Rachel Marie Baker is safe, and the suspect, 34-year-old Joseph Arpin is in custody.
According to a release from the Allgean County Sheriff's Office, deputies were alerted to a possible tip that the suspect, Joseph Arpin, was in the area of Crestwood, Missouri.
Deputies contacted Crestwood Police, who located Arpin at a convenience store.
Rachel was located with him, and is with police at this hour.
Rachel disappeared sometime between Monday night at 11:00 p.m., and Tuesday morning.
She was known to have been in contact with Arpin, who police say had come to Michigan two weeks ago and has been in contact with her.
Rachel's mother found a letter left by her indicating that she wished to be with Arpin.
Police tracked her with a K-9 from her bedroom window to a location across the street where it appeared she may have gotten into a vehicle.
Rachel's mother says that she has run away overnight in the past, but returned.
Deputies obtained a warrant for Arpin, and he will face charges in Allgean County.
