Store closed after suspect sets fire

NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A bold suspect walks into a Wal-Mart, starts a fire then steals all sorts of electronics.

It happened around 5 a.m. Sunday at the store on S. 11th Street. Deputies in Berrien County say he first walked to the clothing department and started a fire.

Then he smashed a few display cases and stole electronics. Deputies say he ran out the front door and drove away in a newer, dark-colored four-door sedan. He was wearing a mask.

The store was closed Sunday but is hoping to re-open on Monday.
