99-year-old Iowa woman earns high school diploma

WATERLOO, Iowa (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It was a special day for one high school student in Iowa.

Earlier this week, Audrey Crabtree was the guest of honor at the Waterloo School Board Meeting.

The 99-year-old was finally getting her high school diploma, 8 decades after she left school.

Crabtree left to get married and take care of her family way back when.

She later ran a flower shop, but told family she had regretted not getting her diploma.

Now she has it.
