Former home of Steve Jobs could become historical site

LOS ALTOS, Calif. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The California home where Steve Jobs started what's now become the Apple empire may soon become a historical site.

The Los Altos Historical Commission has scheduled a historic property evaluation for the single story, ranch-style home on Monday.

It was in the attached garage that he and Steve Wozniack worked on 50 Apple One computers as teenagers.

If the historical site designation is approved, the house will have to be preserved.
