Former FBI agent seeks to open shooting range/saloon in S. Dakota

DEADWOOD, S.D. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Bullets and beer have long been part of the lore in Deadwood, South Dakota.

It's the famed gambling town where Wild Bill Hickok died during an 1876 poker game.

Now, a retired FBI agent hopes to tap into that history by opening an indoor shooting range and saloon in the historic town.

Greg Vecchi will call the bar The Bullets and Beer Saloon.

He says the saloon area will be locked down, and people will be tested for alcohol consumption before being allowed to shoot.
