English company creates chicken safety vests

OXFORDSHIRE, England (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We may never know why the chicken crossed the road, but at least we can now rest assured that the chicken can cross safely.

A company in England is selling chicken safety jackets--they're high visibility, brightly colored, reflective vests meant to help drivers spot chickens who may have wandered out into traffic.

The company, called Omlet, sells supplies for keeping chickens.

The vests are also apparently insulated, to keep the chickens warm.

They sell for about $20 apiece.
