Company declares bankruptcy after deadly train crash
QUEBEC, Canada (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The company behind a deadly train crash in Canada last month is filing for bankruptcy.
It happened in the Canadian province of Quebec when an unmanned train carrying cars full of oil crashed and exploded.
42 people were killed.
Now the railway company has filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. and in Canada.
A statement from the company's chairman said it was quote... "The best way to ensure fairness... to all in these tragic circumstances."
The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
