Fire Chief credits divine intervention after Missouri rescue
CENTER, Mo. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A fire chief in Missouri says a rescue at a crash scene was nothing short of a miracle, and he's attributing it to divine intervention.
A drunk driver hit 19-year-old Katie Lentz head-on near the town of Center, trapping her in her car.
Crews spent nearly an hour trying to free her to no avail, so, the scared teen asked rescuers to pray aloud with her.
Out of nowhere, a Catholic priest appeared, and offered a calming voice.
Rescuers were suddenly able to free Lentz.
When they turned around to thank the priest, he had vanished.
