Man makes plea to daughter's kidnapper
CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A California man is making a desperate plea for the man who killed his wife and son and kidnapped his teenaged daughter to bring her back safely.
This all started Sunday night when police found Christina Anderson's body in James Dimaggio's burned out home.
Police originally issued an Amber Alert for Anderson's two children, 8-year-old Ethan and 16-year-old Hannah, but investigators later found a child's remains, believed to be Ethan's.
Police believe Dimaggio, who is a friend of the family, is the one responsible for the murders and kidnapping.
Tuesday Brett Anderson addressed the media, trying to urge his daughter to escape if she gets the chance.
"The damage is done. You've taken everything else. I'm begging you to let my daughter go. Hannah, we all love you very much. If you have a chance, you take it. You run, you'll be found," said Anderson.
Police say they are doing everything they can to track down Dimaggio and bring Hannah home safely.
