Inspectors working to meet deadline for Syria's chemical weapons
SYRIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Inspectors overseeing the destruction of Syria's chemical weapons say they'll do whatever is possible to meet a November 1st deadline.
In the next month they will have to stop the government's ability to manufacture chemical weapons.
Inspectors say they're considering anything from blowing up delivery missiles to driving tanks over empty shells or filling them with concrete.
An initial group is leaving for Syria Monday to begin the process.
The United Nations Security Council has ordered that all of Syria's chemical weapons must be destroyed by mid-2014.
