Fire rips through New Jersey plant
BURLINGTON COUNTY, N.J. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A massive fire ripped through a warehouse in New Jersey on Sunday.
Crews have been working more than 10 hours to control the flames.
As of 11:30 p.m., it was only 50 percent contained.
Fire officials say solar panels at the top of the building have been making fighting the fire that much harder.
"We have no idea what it's going to do, like I said, normal roof, we'd be able to get on there, trench it, cut it off, and stop at a certain point," said Delaco Fire Chief Ron Holt. "With power sitting on top of that roof, I can't; that building is not worth one of my guys' lives."
Making matters worse, about halfway through fighting the fire, crews also ran out of water.
They have been letting the fire burn out.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
