Troopers: IDs on 8 bus crash victims may take days
DANDRIDGE, Tenn. (AP) - Family members are learning the names of victims of yesterday's bus crash in Tennessee that killed six members of a North Carolina church along with two others.
Daniel Morrison says his parents, Randolph and Barbara Morrison, were among the dead. He says they had looked forward to the church outing to Tennessee as a big annual trip.
Authorities say it could take a couple of days to identify some of the victims because they were so badly burned.
The church bus blew a tire while traveling home on Interstate 40, veered across a highway median and crashed into a sport utility vehicle and tractor-trailer. Fourteen people were injured in the crash.
