Travel nightmare in California
OAKLAND, California (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Passengers on a flight from Oakland International Airport to Utah endured nearly 12 hours of delays.
They dealt with issues on not one, but three separate planes, before they finally left for their destination Monday night.
"I have been imprisoned by Allegiant Airlines for over nine hours and I am outraged. This airline should go out of business immediately," said one passenger. "This is cruel and unusual punishment. These people are so insensitive. Been 12 hours at the airport and it's ridiculous. They should be out of business."
A statement from Allegiant Airlines says every effort was made to keep the passengers as comfortable as possible, providing food and beverages, $100 dollars off vouchers and the option to cancel or reschedule the flight at no additional cost.
It continues: We never want to delay or inconvenience our passengers, but the safety of our passengers and crew is our number one priority.
