Airport employee in custody over dry ice bombs
LOS ANGELES (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An airport employee is in custody in connection with the dry ice explosions at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Police say 28-year-old Di-Carlo Bennett, a Servis-Air employee, was arrested late Tuesday night.
They say Bennett allegedly took the dry ice from a plane and put it in an employee bathroom.
Law officials say they didn't believe the explosions were an act of terror, but could be the work of a disgruntled employee.
Nobody was injured in either incident.
