Businessman poses as homeless man, gives out moneyIOWA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It's a sight we may see too often, a homeless person on the side of the road, in need of help. Some donate, while others may pass the person. But an Iowa man decided to take the gesture as a lesson to other that giving is better than receiving.Businessman Jonnie Wright dressed up as a homeless person and stood near an intersection for hours in the freezing cold. For every person who donated to him, he'd hand them back an envelope. What was inside was a note thanking the person for the donation, with money inside."This has been a bucket list thing for me for some time, and I've always known that I wanted to give back," said Wright. All in all he gave away 50 letters and a total of nearly one-thousand dollars. The money he received from standing at the intersection was donated to an emergency shelter in Des Moines.
