Parents sue city over daughter's death

SAN FRANCISCO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The parents of a teenage girl who was run over and killed by two emergency vehicles after an Asiana Airlines crash are suing the City of San Francisco.

In a claim filed this week, the parents of 16-year-old Ye Meng Yuan say firefighters should have examined her and moved her somewhere else.

Yuan was hit as rescuers came to aid passengers in the July 6th crash. Two others died and 180 were injured.

An autopsy revealed Yuan was alive before the vehicles hit her.

Firefighters tell investigators they assumed she was dead and hurried to the aircraft.
