DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for St. Joe and Branch counties until 10 AM.  Dense fog has already been observed in many cities in West Michigan including Kalamazoo.  The ADVISORY may be expanded to include more counties.  Burning off fog this time of year is tough thanks to a low sun angle.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.

Gas station attendant hit by car

MASSACHUSETTS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A gas station attendant is lucky to be alive after a car slammed into him and threw him thirty feet.

Ron Valle was standing at the center island of the Massachusetts station Monday morning. He was looking down, counting cash, when an out of control car hit him.

When Valle finally came to he was halfway in the road.

At that point it wasn't his injuries that worried him.

"I tried to stand up and run you know because the fire was in front of me you know and uh my first thing I think was this is going to explode," said Valle.

Valle's boss used three fire extinguishers to quickly put out the flames.

Amazingly, Valle suffered only some scrapes and bruises.

As for the 80-year-old man who hit him, he says he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake.
