Shots fired in road rage incident in Indiana

GARY, Indiana (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Indiana State Police are searching for highway shooting suspects.

A 33-year-old Illinois woman says she was shot at while driving in an apparent road rage incident.

She says she was driving slowly on a road in Gary, Indiana to avoid several potholes when another driver started tailgating her.

Once the two got on the interstate, the woman says the other driver was so angry he pulled alongside her car and opened fire.

The woman was not hit but her car was struck.

Police say this was the second road rage shooting on that stretch of Interstate 80/94 in less than a week.

They do not think the two incidents are related.
