Chicago Tribune: Harold Ramis dies

CHICAGO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Chicago Tribune is reporting that actor/director Harold Ramis has died.

Ramis, known for his role as Egon in Ghostbusters and for writing/directing Caddyshack and Groundhog Day was 69.

Family says that he died at 12:53 a.m. from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease involving the swelling of blood vessels.

Ramis had serious health issues that began in May of 2010.
