Curiosity snaps photo of Earth and Moon

MARS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The NASA rover Curiosity has snapped off a curious photo of the earth and moon.

They are two tiny dots as seen from the surface of Mars.

It turns out the earth and moon are the brightest points of light in the Martian night sky.

It's the first picture of Earth taken by the rover since it landed in August of 2012.
