Bus driver's bible stops bullets

DAYTON, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Ohio police say a bus driver is lucky to be alive after a bible stopped two bullets from hitting him in the chest.

Police say the 49-year-old was trying to fix his public transit bus after it stopped running.

While parked on the side of the road in Dayton a group of men came up to him and shot him three times and stabbed him in the arm.

Two of the bullets hit the bible in his shirt pocket. The third hit him in the leg.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
