Japan unveils energy policy

JAPAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Japan has unveiled its first draft energy policy since the Fukishima meltdown three years ago.

The plan, presented Tuesday, says Japan's nuclear dependency will be reduced as much as possible.

But it says reactors that meet new safety standards set after the 2011 nuclear crisis should be re-started.

Just last week 100-tons of contaminated water leaked at the troubled Fukishima Nuclear Power Plant.
