Power outages on east coast after storm

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - It is a messy morning across much of the eastern United States.

The death toll from this week's ice and storm is now 21.

More than half a million people in 16 states are waking up Friday morning without power.

And it's not over yet. Snow and ice is expected to continue to fall in the northeast through the weekend, grounding thousands of flights in several states.

The relentless snow and ice storm this winter have led to the highest number of flight cancellations in more than 25-years, with more than 75,000 flights canceled since December.
