DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Effective Until 11 AM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY until 11 AM for nearly every county in West Michigan save for Berrien, Cass, St. Joe, and Branch counties.  Recent, heavy rainfall, and light winds are the perfect combination for fog production.  Visibilities may be as low as 1/4 mile or lower; that's enough to drastically change how you drive.  Please keep it safe this morning and travel slower, if you have to.  Additional stopping distance isn't a bad idea either.  Stay with wwmt.com for the latest weather updates!

Pregnant mother drives SUV into ocean

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A pregnant mother drove her three young kids into the ocean, and is now in custody.

A Daytona Beach tourist caught the rescue on video.

Bystanders say they saw the SUV driving along the beach when it suddenly started driving into the ocean.

Witnesses rushed into the surf, trying to stop the vehicle and rescue the kids.

They were able to get two kids to safety before realizing there was a third trapped in the car.

"The kids are screaming, 'there's a baby, there's a baby!'" said rescuer Tim Tesseneer. "I get back to the van and by this time a couple of lifeguards have made it down there to us and come to find out there's a baby still strapped in the seat, but we got her."

Witnesses say it looked like the mother did it on purpose.

The video shows her getting out of the vehicle and walking away.

Police say they are investigating and have her in custody.
