The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

Two reported hurt in shooting near Columbus elementary school

COLUMBUS, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3/WSYX) - Two people have been reported as injured after a shooting at a Columbus elementary school Thursday.

Our sister station WSYX reports that a 14-year-old boy was transported to Nationwide Children's HOspital, and a 20-year-old man was taken to Grant Medical Center.

The two victims were intitially reported in critical condition, but a recent update has upgraded their condition to stable.

One person of interest is reportedly in custody across the street at a high school.

The school was placed in a lockdown wherein no students were allowed to leave the premises until the situation had been resolved.

As of 4:30 p.m., WSYX reports that police were helping to dismiss some students.

At this time, police have not commented to WSYX regarding any more specifics of the shooting or if it occurred on school grounds.
