Democrats may take part in probe over Benghazi attack

WASHINGTON D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Democrats might take part in a House probe of the Benghazi attack after all.

But so far republicans are not ready to go along with all of their demands.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is calling for an equal number of democrats and republicans on the panel, but republicans are immediately rejecting the idea.

Republicans say there's a reason why they are a majority on the panel.

Democrats are firing back, saying the special panel's investigation of Benghazi is just an election-year ploy to discredit the Obama administration.

The attack back in September 2012 killed the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans.
