WIND ADVISORY

10 AM Until 2 AM Saturday

The National Weather Service maintains a WIND ADVISORY for nearly all of West Michigan from 10 AM this morning until 2 AM Saturday morning.  45 mph gusts are likely inland while 50 mph gusts are possible at the Lake Shore.  This kind of wind is capable of bringing down tree branches and creating some power outages.  Obviously, we hope that doesn't happen.  Winds blow from the northwest this morning then from the north by midday and beyond.  Stay with wwmt.com for your weather today and always!

Security footage released of stowaway

MAUI, Hawaii (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Newly released security footage is giving us our first look at a teenage stowaway just after he took a flight from California to Hawaii in wheel well of a plane.

The surveillance video shows a Hawaiian Airlines plane on the ground in Maui.

Then, you see 15-year-old Yahya Abdi drop out from the wheel well of the Boeing 767.

He slowly walks on the tarmac before he encounters an airport worker.

According to the FBI, the teen hopped a fence at San Jose International Airport and took the five-and-a-half-hour flight.

Abdi survived freezing temperatures and extremely low oxygen levels.

He is back in California and police want to interview him to see if they will press charges.
