Through 8 am

The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for the following counties in West Michigan, effective until 8 am Friday: Barry, Calhoun, and Eaton. Pockets of freezing drizzle may make hazardous driving conditions in the Advisory area, particularly on less-traveled, rural roads. The freezing drizzle is expected to end shortly before daybreak. Because of the potential for slick spots on area roads, drivers all around West Michigan should use a little more caution on this morning's commute.

Police identify victim of Oregon school shooting

OREGON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Authorities now say 14-year-old freshman, Emelio Hoffman, is the victim of Tuesday's high school shooting in Oregon.

Police say the boy was killed in the boys' locker room after a fellow classmate brought a rifle to the school and opened fire.

A teacher was also injured before the gunman was found dead, apparently by a self-inflicted wound.

The name of the gunman is not being released until the family is notified.
