Defense Secretary to testify over release of Taliban members

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel testifies Wednesday before the House Armed Services Committee.

It's the first hearing so far over the Obama administration's decision to release five high level Taliban members in exchange for Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl.

Members of the Senate Armed Services Committee were briefed privately on the matter Tuesday and some remain skeptical about the deal.

A new CBS poll also shows the majority of Americans believe releasing the Taliban fighters was too high a price for Bergdahl.
