LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

Police capture couple who they say kidnapped toddler for cold medicine ransom

MANSFIELD, Ohio (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Police have captured a man and woman who they say kidnapped a 2-year-old boy and demanded cold medicine as ransom.

Charley Ledbetter and Deana Hebert were arrested in Mansfield, Ohio.

Police say they took a 2-year-old boy from a family friend and demanded money or cold medicine for his safe return.

Police say they wanted the cold medicine to make meth.

The child was found safe, and Ledbetter and Hebert are now facing kidnapping charges.
